Crown Paints Opens New Centre as Mlolongo Attracts More Development

Crown Paints has expanded its operations to Mlolongo, Machakos County, with the opening of a new Xperience Centre targeting the growing construction activity along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway.
In a statement dated September 25, the company said the new facility is expected to serve developers, contractors, interior designers, and homeowners looking for paint products as well as technical support for construction and renovation projects.
“Crown Paints has opened a new Xperience Centre in Mlolongo, Machakos County, seeking to deepen its presence in the rapidly expanding residential and commercial construction market along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway corridor,” read part of the statement.
Crown Paints Brings New Colour and Technical Services to Mlolongo
The Mlolongo Xperience Centre is designed to give customers a more hands-on experience when selecting products and finishes.
According to Crown Paints, the facility features live colour-matching technology and displays of textured finishes, allowing customers to explore different options before making their selections.
Customers can also receive technical advice on areas such as product selection, colour application and surface durability.

Crown Paints said the centre has been established as construction activity increases in Mlolongo and neighbouring areas.
This is due to the urban expansion, infrastructure development and rising demand for residential and commercial properties along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway corridor.
Crown Paints Group Chief Executive Officer Mustafa Turra said the new outlet is part of the company’s strategy to increase its presence in key growth centres.
Turra said the centre will bring specialised products and technical expertise closer to construction projects in the region.
Focus on Durable and Sustainable Building Solutions
Furthermore, Crown Paints noted that the facility will also provide access to building solutions that focus on durability and environmental considerations.
Among the products highlighted are low-VOC paint formulations and specialised coatings.

Crown Paints said customers will receive guidance on factors such as surface durability and proper product application, both of which influence the long-term performance of buildings.
The company added that the Mlolongo facility will strengthen its distribution network by improving access to products and technical support for construction sites.
This move will help contractors plan materials more effectively, reduce waste, and improve project turnaround times.
Joseph Waigwa, Director of Paints & Hardware Mlolongo, described the facility as an advisory centre where customers can access technical expertise alongside construction products.
He said the need for such support has grown as construction projects become more specialised.
Meanwhile, the company said it intends to extend technical support and experiential retail facilities to other high-growth markets across Kenya.
