Kisii Man Reveals Why He Demolished House Where Virgin Mary Image Appeared

A man in Nyamache, Kisii, has explained why he demolished a mud house that had attracted crowds after residents claimed an image of the Virgin Mary appeared on one of its walls.

The house belonged to Andrew Onsombi, who said he decided to bring down the structure after the growing number of visitors became overwhelming.

He said the large crowds affected his peace of mind and that of his family. He explained that he wanted to restore privacy and avoid the constant movement of people to his home.

The house had attracted many visitors who believed they could see Mary, the mother of Jesus, on one of its walls.

According to Onsombi, he could not understand what his wife had started telling villagers about the image and the house.

Photos shared on social media showed a shadow-like figure on the wall, which some residents and Christian believers said resembled the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ.

The unusual display sparked debate among residents and online users, with many people travelling to the homestead hoping to see the image for themselves.

Local leaders from the Catholic and Orthodox churches also visited the home amid the growing interest in the alleged appearance.

Kisii Residents Claimed to See Virgin Mary

The mud house attracted large crowds, with some people travelling to the area to pray and see the alleged image.

Some villagers said they personally witnessed what they believed was an appearance of Mary.

Dikson Obure, one of the villagers, said he visited the site and believed he saw the Virgin Mary.

“I went there and witnessed it. I saw that she really existed. But the old man has done the wrong thing. He has lost a blessing. That was a blessing he was receiving there.”

Another villager, Emmanuel Mochama, also claimed to have seen the Virgin Mary. ‘I saw Virgin Mary.”

Villager Says Jesus Also Appeared

Jared Nyambati claimed that Jesus could also be seen at another section of the house.

“Jesus was at the corner; he could be seen. He started appearing in the month of May. When you go there to pray, you can see him. If you do not have faith, you cannot see him.”
