Comedian Onsongo Accuses Obinna of ‘Harvesting’ His ‘Star,’ Begs Mosiria for Help

Kisii comedian and content creator Onsongo has accused media personality Oga Obinna of “harvesting” his star after appearing on his show, claiming his fortunes changed after the interview.

In a video circulating online, Onsongo appealed to Geoffrey Mosiria to help him return to Obinna’s show and reclaim the “star” he believes he lost after appearing on the programme.

“Kuna siku yenye niliendanga kwa show ya Obinna? Venye niliendanga kwa hio show ya Obinna, venye hiyo show iliishanga tu hivi… Niliiposimama nyota yangu iliishia apo. Ni uchungu sana! Ni uchungu sana!” Onsongo said.

Onsongo Seeks Mosiria’s Intervention

After making the claim, Onsongo turned to Mosiria and asked him to intervene. He gave the environmental official a week to help him secure another opportunity to appear on Obinna’s show.

“Sasa mimi kitu ninaomba. Saa hii nasikia kuna mtu mwenye anaitwa Geoffrey Mosiria, katibu mkuu wa mazingira. Geoffrey Mosiria tu nimekupea wiki moja unipee majibu! Eeh! Nataka tu nirudi huko kwa Oga Obinna, niende tu kwa ile kiti yenye nilikaa, nisimame tu na yangu yangu niende,” he said.

He then explained why he wanted to return to the show, claiming he had not received another opportunity since his appearance on Obinna’s programme.

“Sijawahi pata hata show ingine. Geoffrey Mosiria nimekuwachia hii mzigo ata ukiona niko kwa mazingira. Ni uchungu sana!” Onsongo added.

Obinna Addresses Sacrifice Claims

Meanwhile, Onsongo’s remarks come as Obinna faces separate claims online linking his shows to allegations of sacrifice.

Speaking on September 1, 2026, Obinna rejected those claims and addressed allegations involving people he had previously hosted who later died.

“But the four that I have hosted and lost their lives, they didn’t lose their lives from the show. There is an agenda that is being shaped,” Obinna said.

Obinna also rejected claims that he had entered into agreements with the devil, arguing that people were deliberately trying to associate him with deaths and misfortune.

Mosiria Responds

Following Onsongo’s appeal, Mosiria joined the conversation by responding to the comedian’s plea.

“NAJUA INAUMA SANA NA NI UCHUNGU SANA! Usilie Daddy Kuja nikupeleke tukachukue nyota yako!” Mosiria said.

His response further amplified the exchange online as social media users reacted to Onsongo’s account of what happened after his appearance on Obinna’s show.

Who Is Comedian Onsongo?

Onsongo, whose real name is Abraham Onsongo Nyakundi, is a young Kenyan comedian from the Gusii region who rose to prominence while still a child.

He first attracted widespread attention through comedy videos shared online, with his Kisii-influenced Swahili, distinctive delivery and humorous personality helping him build a following.

As his popularity grew, Onsongo appeared alongside established Kenyan entertainers and content creators, expanding his audience beyond the Gusii region.

His appearance in a video with media personality Lulu Hassan also helped expose him to a wider Kenyan audience.

He later featured on Oga Obinna’s platform, with Obinna TV Extra publishing an interview with the young comedian in October 2023.

Since then, Onsongo has continued producing comedy content and growing his digital audience.

His Onsongo Comedy Ke YouTube channel has accumulated hundreds of thousands of subscribers and millions of views, reflecting his sustained presence in Kenya’s digital entertainment scene.

Now, his latest appeal to Mosiria has put him back in the spotlight, with his claim that his “star” disappeared after appearing on Obinna’s show generating fresh reactions online.
