Fresh Twist in Bosco Kebati Family Feud as Daughter’s Hospital Video Emerges

A three-month-old video featuring Julie Kebati, a daughter from the late Bosco Kebati’s first family, has resurfaced online, adding a fresh twist to the family dispute that has dominated public attention following his burial.

In the resurfaced video, which was recorded while Bosco was still admitted to hospital, Julie is heard saying that her father was as good as dead.

“My father is alive, but it’s like he is not because he has never been present,” she said.

These remarks have sparked renewed debate on social media as Kenyans continue discussing the family’s conflicting accounts of his final days.

Julie also said in the video how she always wished she was born in another family where she could just talk to her father and tell him what is happening.

“Sometimes I look at other families, and I wish I was born in a family where you can sit down and talk to your dad and tell him this is happening; he never fought for me,” Julie said.

The video emerged days after Bosco Kebati’s burial in Mwabosire, Nyamira County, where his daughter from the second family, content creator Linda Kebati, delivered an emotional speech accusing her father’s first family and paternal relatives of hypocrisy and exclusion during the funeral arrangements.

During the funeral, Linda claimed that she and her mother were sidelined throughout the burial preparations, alleging that they were denied opportunities to participate in key moments of their father’s final send-off.

“I am not angry because people didn’t “show up for me.” I am angry because I was denied the opportunity to show up for my own father. I was denied access to see his body in the morgue. I was denied a place in his funeral arrangements,” she said.

The emotional speech drew widespread public sympathy and ignited conversations online about the family’s strained relationship.

However, Bosco’s first family has since presented a different version of events.

Julie said tensions between the two households date back more than two decades, after Bosco married his second wife.

Family Feud

She further claimed that members of the first family took on much of the responsibility of caring for Bosco during his prolonged illness, including meeting medical and daily care expenses, while disputing claims that the second family had been prevented from supporting him.

The resurfaced hospital-era video has added another layer to the public conversation, with social media users revisiting statements made before Bosco’s death.

As both families continue to maintain contrasting stories of Bosco Kebati’s final years and funeral arrangements, the dispute has remained one of the most talked-about family controversies on Kenyan social media.
