Content creator Linda Ashley Kebati has broken her silence on her viral video where she was giving her relatives from her father’s side a lecture during her father’s funeral.
Linda posted on her Instagram stories saying she is not angry because people failed to show up for her, but she is angry because she was denied the opportunity to show up for her own father.
“I am not angry because people didn’t “show up for me.” I am angry because I was denied the opportunity to show up for my own father. I was denied access to see his body in the morgue. I was denied a place in his funeral arrangements,” she said.

According to Linda, she was denied seeing her father’s body at the morgue and a place at his funeral. Additionally, she was also left out of her father’s eulogy and denied the opportunity to lower her late father to his final resting place.
“I was denied a place in his funeral arrangements. I was left out of his eulogy. I was denied the opportunity to lower my own father into the ground, and it wasn’t just me. My family was denied the chance to properly honour our dad,” she said.
She expressed her anger, saying that moments that can never come back were taken away from her, and she and her family will never be okay with that.

“So yes, I am livid bear grief is already cruel enough without having people take away the few moments you have to say goodbye. They took away moments I can never get back. Moments that belonged to me. Moments that belonged to my family. Moments that belonged to our father. I will never be okay with that,” she said.
In addition, she also spoke about being raised in a polygamous family and how it has affected her. She says her entire family is polygamous, and they should stop hiding when it comes to secrets they keep.
Polygamy
“Ooooh “men are polygamous by nature” Interesting. Yet the moment the REALITY of that polygamy comes to light :the different wives, the different children, the divided families, the resentment, the competition, the secrets, the hurt , suddenly everybody is shocked ? Isn’t this supposed to be “natural”?,” she asks.
Further, she says people should stop romanticizing polygamy and be honest about the families that are usually left to navigate life on their own.
“So let’s stop romanticizing polygamy when it’s convenient and clutching our pearls when the consequences become uncomfortable. If men are “naturally polygamous” then let’s also be honest about the families that are left to navigate the consequences of that nature,” she said.

Furthermore, Linda also said that their family has caused them a lot of pain since her father died and it is not something she will ever forgive.
“The emotional and mental torment my mom, my sister and I have gone through ever since my dad died, at the hands of his family, is something I would never wish on my worst enemy. They didn’t just take away our peace. They took away our opportunity to mourn him and to properly say goodbye. I will never forgive that,” she said
