Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has warned political parties, candidates and campaign agents on the use of its logo on campaign materials.
According to a statement by IEBC dated August 20 2026, they say that using its logo for campaign material is unlawful and may falsely imply commission endorsement.
“The Commission has noted the unauthorized use of its logo on campaign materials. Such use is irregular and unlawful and may falsely imply Commission endorsement, thereby infringing on its independence, impartiality and non-partisan status,” read the statement.
Aspirants and political actors have been directed to remove IEBC logos from their campaign materials within five days or else appropriate action will be taken.
