Jacky Vike, Kenyan actress and content creator, who is also popular among her audience as Awinja Nyamwalo, prepared to mark her own birthday on 8th September with a special and funny demand to her fans.

The former Papa Shirandula actress wrote a social media post that she was grateful to life, health, and the unstopping support of the followers.

“8th September is here of course it’s my birthday. Grateful for life, health and you amazing people! Swipe left uchague kwa hio list ni zawadi gani mtaninulia,” Awinja said.

She went ahead to post the celebration by jokingly requesting her fans to celebrate the day by sending her basic things like sugarcane (miwa) and native chicken (kuku kienyeji), and this move immediately elicited laughter and appreciation on social media.

This was soon after a birthday wish list written by media host Claudia Naisabwa involved Kenyans in a debate about her expensive demands to her fans as she wanted them to mark her birthday with costly gifts, and debates and arguments about this demand made it to the social media.

Conversely, Awinja was very light-hearted in her dealings and most of the people praised her humility and comic touch in requesting nothing but sugarcane and chicken, which was not only humorous but refreshing to the fans.
