Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor Reveals what killed Lawyer Kyalo Mbobu

Oduor said the lawyer was shot eight times leading to severe injuries.

Two bullets were recovered from his body and they have handed over to the investigative officer.

“Upon examining the body, we found that he was shot a total of eight times, with most of the gunshots coming from the right side of the body. We were able to recover two bullets, which have been handed over to the investigating officer for ballistic analysis,” Oduor said.

Besides, Oduor said Mbobu died from severe bleeding and injuries.

He explained that Mbobu’s injuries were fatal enough to kill him since they contributed to loss of blood.

“He suffered severe bleeding due to injuries to the neck vessels, as well as spinal injuries. These injuries were severe enough to cause death, with both spinal and neck injuries contributing to significant blood loss,” Oduor added.

Oduor said the two recovered bullets were lodged in Mbobu’s chest below the arm.

He stated that some of the bullets were directed on the neck.
“His spine was severely injured, and most of the bullets had entry and exit apart from the two bullets we have recovered,” Oduor said.
“We can say he died from severe bleeding,” he said.

Preliminary Reports

Police has earlier reported that they
had managed to recover three used cartridges after the incident.
