The Social Health Authority (SHA) Board has announced the appointment of four new directors.

In a statement on September 12, SHA Board Chairperson Dr. Abdi Mohamed said the appointments comes after a competitive and transparent recruitment process that began on July 29, 2025.

“The Social Health Authority Board is pleased to announce the appointment of four new Directors following a competitive and transparent recruitment process that began on 29th July 2025,” Mohamed said.

SHA has appointed Dr. Diana Marion as the director, Provider and Beneficiary Management and Golda Larissa Akolo as director, Benefits and Claims Management.

The Authority has picked Mohamed Alio Ibrahim as director, Corporate Services and Jonathan Leisen as director, Funds and Finance Management.

 Experience of New Directors

Mohamed said the new directors bring a wealth of invaluable experience to the organization.

“This team’s expertise will be crucial in steering the Social Health Authority achieve its mandate of providing financial risk protection for Kenyan residents and ensuring they have access to quality healthcare,” SHA said.

SHA thanked all the staff for their support for stepping into the senior management positions during the period.

“The Board would like to express its profound gratitude to the staff for their unwavering dedication and support provided to the interim senior
management team during the transition period,” the Authority added.

Interviews and Shortlisting

SHA conducted interviews between Tuesday September 9 and Wednesday September 10, 2025, at its headquarters at the 10th Floor Boardroom in Nairobi.

The Authority received a total of 494 applications for the four positions, and 38 candidates were shortlisted for interviews.

SHA also announced vacancies for 507 positions some even requiting grad D in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Educations (KCSE).
