Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has provided an update on the free entry to National Park, Reserves and Sanctuaries earlier communicated through the Public Notice dated September 23, 2025.
In a statement on Friday, September 26, KWS said the public will not be allowed into Lake Nakuru National Park for free on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
KWS said only customers with prepaid tickets will be allowed into the Park between 6am and 6pm.
“The public is hereby notified that there shall be no free entry to Lake Nakuru National Park, tomorrow Saturday 27th September 2025,” KWS said.
“However, customers with prepaid eCitizen tickets are advised to access Lake Nakuru National Park through Nderit Gate from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm tomorrow Saturday, 27th September 2025.”
Further, KWS has notified the public i that both Lake Nakuru Main Gate (at flamingo area) and Lanet Gate shall remain closed tomorrow.
Free Entry to Other Parks
KWS explained that other Parks, Reserves and Sanctuaries will be accessed freely has announced earlier.
“The public is further advised that all other KWS managed National Parks, Reserves, and Sanctuaries across the country shall remain open and accessible tomorrow Saturday September 27, 2025, under the free entry initiative for Kenyan citizens,” KWS said.
“The public is urged to observe Park Rules and Regulations during their visits.”
