Deputy Principal Found Dead After Missing for Days

A deputy president has been found dead after going missing since October 18, 2025.

Bomet County Police Commander Edward Ibwaga confirmed that the body of Edward Too, a deputy principal at Kapkilaibei High School, has been found floating on the River Itare.

Ibwaga said the body of the  49-year-old teacher was found in the river a few kilometers from Konoin East Police Station.

The Police Commander stated that Too’s wife had reported at Konoin Police Station that he had been missing since Saturday.

“The deceased had been missing since Saturday, October 18, 2025, according to initial reports from the family,” Imbwaga said.

Koiwa Location Chief Emily Koech stated that she immediately notified police officers after spotting the body floating in the river.

Ibwaga said the family was able to identify the body after police recovered it from the river.

Police said Too’s body had no visible injuries when it was retrieved from the river.

Police Launch Probe

He stated that police have started investigations to determine Too’s exact cause of death.

“Our officers are on the matter to investigate and establish what happened leading to the death of the teacher,” Imbwaga stated.

Too’s body was taken to Kapkatet Subcounty Hospital Mortuary for preservation pending an autopsy.
