Interior Ministry Issues Guidelines for Conduct at KCSE and National Exam Centres

As the national examination commences across the nation, the Ministry of Interior and National Administration has reminded all the candidates, invigilators, and the public to maintain ethical standards and discipline during this critical period.

The KCSE exams began on October 21, 2025, with practical papers and will conclude on November 21, 2025.

The Ministry has issued a synopsis of strict penalties for examination malpractice to ensure fairness and credibility in the assessment period.

Guidelines for Conduct at Exam Centers

Revealing assessment materials to unauthorized parties or to candidates prior attracts an imprisonment penalty of up to 10 years or a fine not exceeding two million shillings or both.

Malicious damage to assessment materials attracts an imprisonment penalty of up to 5 years or a fine not exceeding five million shillings or both.

Impersonating candidates is an offense and liable to imprisonment for a term of up to 2 years or a fine, not exceeding two million shillings or both. Candidates will also be prohibited from taking national assessments for a period of three years.

The security of our examination centers is guaranteed, as well as the safety of participants.

All participants are advised to stay out of trouble and avoid having exams canceled or schools disqualified.
