The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has informed the public that the Madogo – Bura – Hola (B89) Road, which was cut off earlier, has been reinstated.
In a notice on Saturday, November 1, KeNHA said the opening paves the way for the smooth flow of traffic in the affected areas.
“The Authority appreciates the patience of travellers and all road users during the restoration period,” reads part of the statement.
KeNHA said it remains committed to ensuring seamless connectivity with the safety and convenience of the public as paramount.
In an earlier notice, KeNHA notified the public that traffic flow along Madogo – Bura – Hola (B89) Road still remained closed, having been cut by floods at Duka Notu.
KeNHA said work was ongoing and provided motorists with alternative routes to follow during this period.
“The public is advised to utilize the alternate route through Nanighi and re-joining B89 at Cheredende as the KeNHA team on the ground works towards restoring normal traffic flow. Please exercise caution while crossing flowing waters,” KeNHA said.
