Kenya Power has announced a series of scheduled power interruptions across several regions of the country to facilitate essential maintenance and network upgrades.
The notice, issued under Rule 27 of the Electric Power Rules, states that the exercise is necessary “to connect new customers or to replace power lines during grid construction.”
According to the utility firm, the planned outages will affect parts of Nairobi, Mt. Kenya, North Rift, Western, South Nyanza, and North Eastern regions.
Kenya Power noted that the interruptions are part of ongoing efforts to ensure improved and reliable electricity supply to customers.

In Nairobi Region, maintenance will continue on Monday, November 10, 2025, in the Mirema area from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., affecting Lumumba Drive, Mirema Drive, Paris Lounge, PAC University, and Mirema Primary School, among other customers.
Additional works are scheduled for Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in parts of Langata including NHG Langata, Southlands Estate, Akiba Estate, and Uhuru Gardens.
Later in the week, on Friday, November 14, 2025, parts of Karen and Langata will also be affected from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., covering Bomas of Kenya, CITAM, Nyumba Moja Road, and Forest Edge Gardens.
The Mt. Kenya Region will experience interruptions in Nyeri and Kirinyaga counties.
On Saturday, November 15, 2025, power will be off in Kiawamugi Coffee Factory, Chaka, Endarasha, Mweiga, and Gitunduti Market areas between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Similarly, Sunday, November 16, 2025, will see outages in Ngujini and parts of Kirinyaga County, including Githure and Kiarura.
In the North Rift Region, outages are scheduled for Saturday, November 15, 2025, in Kiborok, Nandi County, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday, November 16, 2025, in Kiptuyar, affecting Kolbem, Kamelon, and George Khaniri areas.
In the Western Region, residents of Khayega and Ikolomani in Kakamega County will experience power interruptions on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., affecting Shiholo, Kyayega, and Makhokho.
The South Nyanza Region will also face outages in parts of Nyamira County on Saturday, November 15, 2025, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., covering Nyansiongo Mission, Manga, Kebuse, and Kahawa Secondary School.

In Kiambu County, power supply will be interrupted on Thursday, November 13, 2025, in Kawaida and Kimorori areas from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., affecting Gathaiga Farmers, Koba Waters, and Nazareth Hospital, among others.
Meanwhile, parts of Kitui County, including Migwani, Kwa Siku, and Mwanziu, will also be affected on Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Kenya Power urged customers to take note of the maintenance schedules and plan accordingly.
“It is necessary to interrupt supply periodically in order to facilitate maintenance and upgrade of power lines for the network,” the notice stated.
The company further advised the public to contact the nearest Kenya Power office for clarification and to access more details on its official website, www.kplc.co.ke.
