Westlands’ skyline has a new addition after Glam Hotel opened a rooftop restaurant and bar, joining the expanding list of high-end entertainment and dining venues in Nairobi.

Located on the 10th floor along General Mathenge Road, the new space was officially launched on November 6 in a colorful event attended by business leaders, influencers, and hospitality enthusiasts.

Guests were treated to live music, DJ sets, and vibrant performances by drummers and dancers that kept the atmosphere lively throughout the night.

Ashish Sharma, CEO of Thrive Hospitality, the group that owns Glam Hotel said the venue was designed to capture the essence of Nairobi’s dynamic lifestyle.

Why a Rooftop Restaurant

“This rooftop is more than a venue; it’s an experience. We wanted a space that reflects Nairobi’s character, vibrant, diverse, and full of life,” he said.

With its sweeping city views, the rooftop offers an open-air dining and entertainment experience featuring continental cuisine and handcrafted cocktails.

The venue can accommodate up to 200 guests, making it suitable for sundowners, private functions, and casual dining.

According to Sanjay Shah, one of the hotel’s directors, the goal was to merge fine dining with the city’s social vibrancy.

“We wanted a space that blends good food with Nairobi’s social energy, where every evening feels like a celebration,” he noted.

The night concluded with a champagne toast overlooking the glittering cityscape, as organizers hinted that the new rooftop could soon become one of Westlands’ go-to social destinations.
