Kenya has launched a nationwide tree-growing initiative running from November 17 to November 21, 2025, in a coordinated effort to restore degraded landscapes across the country.
The campaign is part of the Accelerated Tree Growing Programme led by the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry.
In a message urging public participation, the State Department for Forestry stated, “Growing Drive is On! From 17th November to 21st November, let’s come together to green our nation one tree at a time.”

The department also encouraged national involvement in all spaces.
“Join the movement in schools, communities, and workplaces. Your participation matters! Let’s turn our commitment into lasting impact,” the message read.
