The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has issued a public notice announcing a temporary traffic disruption along a key section of Mombasa Road (A8) this Sunday, citing preparations for a major sporting event.

According to the advisory, the stretch between the Nyayo National Stadium Roundabout and the Museum Hill Interchange will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on November 30, 2025.

The agency states that the interruption is necessary to facilitate the 21-kilometer Half Marathon, being held in commemoration of World AIDS Day 2025.

KeNHA urged motorists to plan, noting that the event is expected to draw significant participation and police presence.

“This is to allow for a 21-Km Half Marathon in commemoration of World AIDS Day, 2025, event to take place,” the notice read.
