Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) wishes to clarify the reports that have been doing the rounds in the media suggesting that its radiotherapy machine has been out of service for months.

The Hospital confirms that such claims are inaccurate.

The Oncology Center at KNH has been offering continuous cancer treatment.

The patients are being attended to as scheduled, and all the radiotherapy machines are fully operational.

Commitment to Quality Care

The oncology centre, which serves thousands of patients annually, continues to deliver treatment across all scheduled radiotherapy sessions.

The Hospital reiterates its commitment to making sure that all patients can access quality oncology care, especially those who depend on public health facilities.

The hospital also added that it maintains a strict protocol to ensure continuity of care, especially for patients whose treatment cycles rely on consistent, timely radiation sessions to achieve effective outcomes.

Any patient experiencing delays or requiring additional support is advised to contact the Oncology Department for timely assistance.

“We want to assure all our patients and their families that their treatment plans will proceed as scheduled.

Patient safety and interrupted cancer care remain our top priority,” said the Head of Oncology Department.
