United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Malava parliamentary candidate David Ndakwa has responded to calls by Democratic Action Party–Kenya (DAP-K) leader Eugene Wamalwa.
Wamalwa had called for Ndakwa’s disqualification over alleged violence and election rigging.
Ndakwa said DAP-K candidate Seth Panyako and his opponents are running sideshows.
He stated that he has been peaceful throughout the campaigns.
“The blackmail that is going around from my opponents, those are sideshows. I want to state categorically, if anything, I have been the peaceful candidate in this election,” Ndakwa said.
Ndakwa said there have been a lot of fights from the DAP-K, but he has always refrained from responding.
“There have been a lot of abuses from my opponents. There have been a lot of fights from the side of my opponents, even up to this time, I have not tried to reply back because I have restrained myself,” he added.

Further, Ndakwa said he is trying to put humility first and show exemplary leadership despite the abuses.
“I am trying to show exemplary leadership by putting humility first as a character because I don’t have to let people bleed for me to lead,” Ndakwa reiterated.
Ndakwa was speaking on November 27, 2025, moments after casting his vote alongside his family at Mukongolo polling station in Malava Constituency.

He spoke a few hours after DAP-K said Seth Panyako had been arrested and detained at Malava Police Station.
The Party said the arrest came shortly after Panyako endured a night of chaos allegedly orchestrated by hostile groups.
“Our Candidate, Seth Panyako, has been arrested and is currently being held at Malava Police Station. This, even after goons under police supervision terrorised him the whole night, injured our agents, destroyed property, and now they want to intimidate him. We will not allow!” the party said.
