Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company Ltd (NCWSC), which provides water services by authority of a license issued by WASREB, has applied to the Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB) for a regular tariff review.
NCWSC proposes an upward tariff review to enable the utility water to operate at full cost recovery and meet conditions necessary for improving service delivery.
The Company said the update is in addition to the Notice published by WASREB on November 25, 2025.
The Water Service Provider will hold hybrid public consultation meetings (physical & virtual) as outlined below;
A physical meeting will be held at Utalii Hotel on December 19 from 10:00 am.
Similarly, the virtual meeting will be conducted through NCWSC to provide links on the same day.
“Participants should be seated by 10.00 am. Personal identification of participants will be required,” NCWSC said.
Members of the public in respective areas are invited to make oral and written submissions and ask any questions that may relate to the provision of water services in their areas.

Details of the current tariff and the proposed tariff can be obtained from www.wasreb.go.ke. and/or https://www.nairobiwater.co.ke/.
Details of the proposed action can be obtained at the Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company Ltd Head Office on Kampala Road, off Enterprise Road, Nairobi, Kenya.
They are also available at all NCWSC regional offices, including Central Region (Enterprise Plaza, 3rd Floor, Addis Ababa Road), Upper Embakasi Region (Shujaa Mall Wing A, Ground Floor, Spine Road), Roysambu Region (CPA Center, Ground Floor, off Thika Road), Kasarani Region (Kariobangi Treatment Works, off Outering Road), Lower Embakasi Region (Shujaa Mall Wing B, Ground Floor, Spine Road), Lang’ata Region (Woodley Estate, Kinoo Road), Westlands Region (Parklands Plaza, 1st Floor, Chiromo Lane), Informal Settlements Region (National Water Plaza, 2nd Floor, Dunga Road), and Dagoretti Region (Uthiru Reservoir, off Waiyaki Way).

The documents can also be accessed at the Water Services Regulatory Board offices located on the 5th Floor, Wing “A”, NHIF Building.

“The closing date for receipt of comments is 30 days as indicated in the WASREB notice,” the Company said.
