KDF Swings Into Action to Help Kenyans Affected by Bandits

Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) troops operating under the multi-agency Operation Maliza Uhalifu (OMU), in collaboration with the Africa Inland Church Chemolingot Township, conducted a humanitarian outreach to residents of Kagir in Baringo North Sub-County.

The area has faced insecurity and banditry in recent years.

The joint team delivered tens of goats, food items, clothing, and other essential supplies to families in the region.

The gesture aims to strengthen community resilience, foster trust, and promote peaceful coexistence among neighbouring communities.

Speaking during the visit, the KDF team affirmed the military’s commitment to supporting ongoing stabilization efforts and enhancing civilian–security relations.

They emphasized that peace-building remains a key pillar of OMU’s operations in the North Rift, which combines security interventions with community engagements designed to uplift affected populations.
