Kenya Meteorological Department (Kenya Met) has issued a weather forecast for the period starting from December 1st to 15th, 2025.
In a notice published on December 8th, Kenya Met said most parts of the country are expected to remain sunny and dry, with occasional rainfall over a few areas across Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, Coast.
According to the forecast, most parts of the country are expected to be sunny and dry, although occasional rainfall will occur in a few areas across the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Rift Valley, the Coast, North-eastern Kenya, and the South-eastern Lowlands.
Kenya Met further noted that daytime temperatures above 30°C are likely in the Coast, North-eastern, North-western Kenya, and parts of the South-eastern Lowlands, Rift Valley, and the Highlands West of the Rift Valley.
Night-time temperatures below 10°C may occur in parts of the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Rift Valley, and areas near Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Counties: Nandi, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Siaya, Busia, Baringo, Nakuru, Trans-Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet, West Pokot, Kisii, Nyamira, Kericho, Bomet, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Narok.
These regions will experience mainly sunny intervals during the day and partly cloudy nights, with a chance of afternoon and night showers over a few places.
Counties: Turkana, Samburu.
These areas will remain sunny during the day, with partly cloudy conditions at night.
Counties: Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka-Nithi, Nairobi.
Mornings will be cloudy with possible light rains, giving way to sunny intervals, while occasional afternoon and night showers may occur in a few places.
Counties: Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, and Isiolo.
These areas will experience sunny intervals during the day and partly cloudy nights, with morning rains and afternoon showers likely in a few places.

Counties: Machakos, Kitui, Makueni, Kajiado, Taita-Taveta, and the inland parts of Tana River.
Expect sunny intervals during the day and partly cloudy nights, with occasional morning, afternoon, and night showers over a few places.
Counties: Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu, Kwale, and coastal Tana River.
The region will experience sunny intervals during the day and partly cloudy nights, with chances of morning, afternoon, and night showers over a few places.

Most parts of the country were sunny and dry during the first week of December, with occasional rainfall recorded in a few areas.
The highest seven-day rainfall total (59.5mm) was recorded at the Isiolo NEMA station, which also recorded the highest 24-hour rainfall,49.2mm on December 7th.
Compared to the period of November 24th to 30th, rainfall amounts continued to decrease across most parts of the country.
Daytime maximum temperatures increased in most stations, except in Lodwar, Suba, Lamu, and Voi, which recorded slight decreases.
Night-time minimum temperatures increased in Eldoret, Nakuru, Laikipia, among others, while decreases occurred in Mandera, Kabete, Thika, and Embu.
