Prime Minister (PM) of Australia Anthony Albanese has spoken out following the Bondi shooting.
In a press release statement issued on December 14th, 2025, Albanese condemned the incident and sent a heartfelt message to the persons affected.
He also noted that police officers and emergency responders are on the ground working effortlessly to save lives.
The Prime Minister said the scenes that happened are shocking and profoundly distressing, causing widespread concern, sadness, and emotional impact among the public.
“The scenes in Bondi are shocking and distressing. Police and emergency responders are on the ground working to save lives.My thoughts are with every person affected,” read part notice.

Albanese said he held talks with the AFP Commissioner and the NSW Premier to provide updates from the incident.
PM asked people to consume information only from the NSW Police.
“I have just spoken to the AFP Commissioner and with the NSW Premier. We are working with the NSW Police and will provide further updates as more information is confirmed,” said Albanese.
He added, “I urge people in the vicinity to follow information from the NSW Police.”

New South Wales Police said at least nine people were killed during the attack on Bondi Beach including one gunman.
The police added that the second alleged shooter is in critical condition.
Currently a further 11 people are reportedly injured, including two police officers, they add.
