Spiro Kenya has addressed the recent rider concerns, aiming at providing a clear and transparent explanation regarding a circulated notice and a specific case involving a claimed withheld motorbike.

A notice on Monday, December 15, 2025, clarified the context of the notice circulated among the riders under Spiro Kenya.

Spiro stated that the notice relates specifically to battery inactivity and system protocol and unequivocally does not indicate, in any way, theft or misappropriation by the company.

“Spiro Kenya values the trust and feedback of our riders and community. We’re aware of the concerns raised and are taking them seriously. Transparency matters to us, and we’re sharing a clear, factual explanation to address the situation and reaffirm our commitment to our riders,” Spiro Kenya said in a statement.

They confirmed that all batteries remain Spiro-owned assets, managed by a structured system for safety and long-term performance.

Addressing a specific referenced case where a motorbike was claimed to be withheld, Spiro expressed regret for any distress caused.

The company stated that the bike is not being withheld and that they have made multiple attempts to contact the rider to facilitate its collection and reactivation. Spiro stressed its readiness to support the release process and a timely resolution.

“Let me make this absolutely clear!!! The bike broke down, i brought it to your service station, you took all the time you wanted to repair it when you called me to come pick it up, i was slapped with a letter you had no idea where i was going, you don’t know the pain you caused, and you don’t know who died,” Rapcha The Sayantist said on a post.

The company announced that it is reviewing how exceptional cases are identified and handled to improve communication and avoid frustrating outcomes for riders.

Furthermore, Spiro highlighted its commitment to quality service, noting its partnership with vetted private garage mechanics for the distribution of genuine, safe, and compatible spare parts.
