Ministry of Education Announces 1,000 Teaching Vacancies in TVET Institutions

The Public Service Commission has announced massive trainer vacancies in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions across the country.

The Commission invited applications from qualified individuals for the Vocational and Technical Trainer positions across various TVETs, under the Ministry of Education’s State Department for Vocational and Technical Training.

In an advert published on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, the ministry is calling the qualified personnel to apply for the listed positions.

According to the report, the positions range from qualified Degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), and Diploma holders in a wide range of specializations across different TVET institutions, as detailed in the official advertisement.

Key Application Information

Interested and qualified persons must strictly adhere to the following application procedure and deadline:

Application Deadline: Applications must reach the respective Boards/Councils of the institutions where the vacancies exist on or before 9th January, 2026, at 5:00 PM (East African Time).

Mode of Application: Applicants are required to submit their applications directly to the TVET institutions where the vacancies exist.

Application Form: Candidates must fill out ONE (1) PSC.2 (Revised 2016) application form and attach copies of the required documents.

Form Download: The application form (PSC.2 – Revised 2016) can be downloaded from the Commission’s official website: www.publicservice.go.ke.

Required Attachments: Applicants must attach copies of their National ID card, academic and professional certificates, transcripts, and any other testimonials.

Post-Recruitment Requirement

The ministry further noted that successful candidates will be required to apply for licensing and registration by the TVET Authority.

The Public Service Commission stated that the full details of the posts, including specific course specializations and required qualifications for each institution, are available on their website, www.publicservice.go.ke.
