United States of America President Donald J. Trump has announced measures against Venezuela, declaring a total blockade of sanctioned oil tankers and accusing the government of President Nicolás Maduro of terrorism, asset theft, and transnational crime.
In the statement, Trump said Venezuela is now encircled by what he described as an unprecedented naval force, framing the move as a response to alleged actions by the Maduro administration involving oil assets and criminal activity.
He linked the measures directly to claims of stolen resources and threats to U.S. national security.
Trump explained that the pressure would remain in place until what he termed U.S. assets are returned, including oil fields and land.
He alleged that these resources were unlawfully taken and are now being used to finance a range of illicit activities.
“Venezuela is surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled in the History of South America,” Trump said, adding that “it will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before.”
In the statement, Trump accused the Maduro administration of using oil revenues to fund serious crimes.
“The illegitimate Maduro Regime is using Oil from these stolen Oil Fields to finance themselves, Drug Terrorism, Human Trafficking, Murder, and Kidnapping,” he said.
He further stated that, based on these accusations, Venezuela’s government has been formally classified by the United States as a terrorist entity.
“For the theft of our Assets, and many other reasons, including Terrorism, Drug Smuggling, and Human Trafficking, the Venezuelan Regime has been designated a FOREIGN TERRORIST ORGANIZATION,” Trump declared.

Trump said the designation had triggered immediate enforcement action targeting Venezuela’s oil exports.
The announcement suggests imposing a comprehensive maritime restriction aimed at halting the movement of oil shipments associated with sanctions, a move that would have significant implications for Venezuela’s economy, which is heavily dependent on crude oil exports.
“Therefore, today, I am ordering A TOTAL AND COMPLETE BLOCKADE OF ALL SANCTIONED OIL TANKERS going into, and out of, Venezuela,” he said.
The statement also addressed migration, with Trump alleging that Venezuela had deliberately sent criminals into the United States who should be deported.
Trump framed the deportations as part of a broader security strategy, emphasizing protection of U.S. borders and national interests.
“The Illegal Aliens and Criminals that the Maduro Regime has sent into the United States during the weak and inept Biden Administration are being returned to Venezuela at a rapid pace,” he said.

Concluding the statement, Trump reiterated demands for restitution and warned against perceived external threats.
“America will not allow Criminals, Terrorists, or other Countries to rob, threaten, or harm our Nation,” he said, adding that the United States would not permit “a Hostile Regime to take our Oil, Land, or any other Assets.”
He ended with a call for immediate action, stating that all disputed assets “must be returned to the United States, IMMEDIATELY.”
