Rongo University is a Kenyan University located at Kitere Hills in Rongo, Migori County, Kenya.

It was established in 2011 and later, in October 2016, it was fully incorporated into the University.

Initially, it was a constituent college of Moi University and occupied the former site of Moi Institute of Technology (MIT), which was established in 1981.

In 2007, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Moi University and Moi Institute of Technology, enabling MIT to offer diploma and undergraduate programs in fields like education, business, and human resource management as a satellite campus.
