The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) published a list of approved Curriculum Support Materials for Grade 10 learners under the Competency-Based Education (CBE) system.
In a public notice released on December 23, 2025, KICD listed the approved textbooks across various learning areas, including Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), Social Sciences, and Arts and Sports Science, depending on students’ abilities, talents, and career aspirations.
Under the Competence-Based Curriculum (CBC), Agriculture equips learners with knowledge and skills of cultivating land, growing crops, and rearing animals to produce food, raw materials, and other useful products for human use and economic development.
At the same time, General Science introduces a basic concept from different branches of science to help learners understand natural phenomena.
