Chuka University Courses, Fees, Campuses and Location

Chuka University is a Kenyan public university located in Ndagani, Chuka, Tharaka-Nithi County, and was established in 2007 through Legal Notice No. 161 initially as Chuka University College, a Constituent College of Egerton University.

The university traces its origins to 2004, when Egerton University proposed expanding into Eastern Kenya and, following the recommendations of a technical committee chaired by Prof. Erastus Njoka, selected Chuka as the most suitable central location.

In August 2005, the campus was opened as the Egerton University Eastern Campus College, and later on January 8, 2013, the University acquired full status after former President Mwai Kibaki issued a charter to the institution.

The Institution offers Degree, Diploma, Certificate, Master’s, and PhD courses for various programs.

Other Satellite Campuses

Apart from the main campus, Chuka University has other Campuses which include Nairobi Campus, Embu Campus, Chogoria Campus, and Igembe Campus.

The University consists of nine schools that offer a variety of programm.

Schools Offered in Chuka University

Chuka University has various schools, which include the School of Agriculture, Business Studies, Education, Environmental Studies and Resource Development, Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Science and Technology, Law, and the School of Nursing and Public Health.

School of Science and Technology

The following Degree Courses are offered in this school by Chuka University

Fees for Different Courses

For KUCCPS students, fees range from Ksh 122,400 to Ksh 336,600 depending on the course you are pursuing.

At the same time, self-sponsored students have to pay at least Ksh 50,000 to Ksh 75,000 for various programs.
