Acting on credible intelligence from the public, officers from South B Police Station in Makadara Sub-County, Nairobi Region, conducted an operation along the Ngong River in the Kayaba slums on Tuesday, January 6, under the leadership of the Officer Commanding Station (OCS).
In a statement, the National Police Service (NPS) said officers raided a shanty during the operation and successfully recovered narcotics believed to be intended for distribution.
“The recovered items included six kilograms of a substance suspected to be cannabis sativa and twenty-nine rolls of a green substance, also suspected to be cannabis,” reads part of the statement.

In a separate incident yesterday evening, officers from Kahawa West Police Station in Kasarani Sub-County, while on routine patrol in the Kenyatta Market area, arrested one suspect.
The suspect was found in possession of one hundred and fifty rolls of a substance suspected to be cannabis sativa, as well as three cookies believed to have been prepared using cannabis.
Following these recoveries, a total of four suspects were arrested and placed in police custody pending arraignment.
