How To Easily Check 2025 KPSEA And KILEA Results

Share

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has released clear guidelines on how candidates, parents, and schools can access the 2025 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) and Kenya Intermediate Level Education Assessment (KILEA) performance reports.

In a public notice, KNEC outlined the official process that should be followed when checking the performance reports, outlining that all access must be done through authorised platforms.

According to the council, candidates are required to use the designated online portal to avoid misinformation and unofficial channels that may mislead the public.

Below is a step-by-step guide that candidates and guardians are expected to follow to successfully retrieve the results.

How to Access KPSEA Results Online

Individual learners and parents can view results immediately through the official KNEC portal. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Portal: Go to https://kpsea.knec.ac.ke.
  2. Enter Credentials: Input the learner’s Assessment Number and at least one name.
  3. Privacy Agreement: Review and accept the privacy and access notice.
  4. View Report: Click “Search” to display and download the performance report.

Accessing KILEA Performance Reports

For candidates who sat the Kenya Intermediate Level Education Assessment, KNEC clarified that result access follows a different channel.

“KILEA candidates can get the reports from their schools,” the council noted, underscoring the role of institutions in issuing official learner performance documents.

Additionally, KNEC informed school administrators that “Schools can access the individual learner performance reports on the CBA portal https://cba.knec.ac.ke,” enabling institutions to support parents and learners who may experience challenges accessing results individually.

CBC Transition and Grade 9 Reporting

The issuance of the KPSEA and KILEA performance reports is happening at a very pivotal stage within the framework of the Competency-Based Education (CBE) scheme, as the Grade 9 students prepare to register at the junior secondary level.

The competency-based curriculum is focused on the principles of continuous assessment and learner competencies.

It has been observed that as students from Grade 9 move to their respective schools, the outcomes from the KPSEA enable teachers to make use of these performance indicators to validate areas of strength, gaps, and interventions within the CBC framework.

Through the message to the candidates and schools, KNEC hailed the learners for the achievement, “Congratulations to all the candidates! KNEC is committed to Quality Educational Assessment and Credible Certification.”

The council reaffirmed its commitment to the values of accuracy, transparency, and credibility as the CBC continues to be rolled out across the country.
