The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has formally announced applications for placement to the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for the March 2026 intake.
Students who completed Form Four between the years 2000 and 2024 are invited to apply for various certificate and diploma courses offered at KMTC camps across the country.
Through the announcement, it noted that “all applications MUST be submitted online using the KUCCPS online application platform via the Students’ Portal students.kuccps.ac.ke.”
The notice continues, indicating that the deadline for the application process is set for January 27, 2026.
The communication outlines that available KMTC programmes, their minimum requirements, and campuses are clearly listed, providing applicants with structured guidance on course selection.
The notice further reiterated that the intake is only for March 2026, with selections undertaken by KUCCPS.
The listed programmes include a wide range of certificate and diploma courses in health sciences.
Some of the certificate programmes offered include Community Health Assistant, Health Records and Information Technology, Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nursing, Medical Emergency Technician, Medical Engineering, Nutrition and Dietetics, Orthopaedic Trauma Medicine, Public Health, and Health Insurance Management.
The subject requirements are expressed clearly, such as combinations of English or Kiswahili, Biology or Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Agriculture, Geography, and other sciences.
The notice repeatedly specifies subject clusters using the format “Subject 1,” “Subject 2,” and “Subject 3,” ensuring applicants understand exact eligibility thresholds.

Diploma programmes listed include Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Community Health, Community Oral Health, Dental Technology, Emergency Medical Technology, Health Counselling, Health Insurance Management, Health Promotion, Health Records and Information Technology, Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing and Midwifery, Medical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Social Work, Mortuary Science, Nutrition and Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, Orthopaedic Technology, Orthopaedic Trauma Medicine, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Public Health, Radiography and Imaging, and Speech and Language Therapy.
The campuses that are offering these programs are spread all over the nation including Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Embu, Kakamega, Bungoma, Machakos, Nyeri, Meru, Garissa, Lodwar, Kapenguria, Kitui, Homa Bay, Siaya, Migori, Vihiga, and Taita.

The application is done centrally via KUCCPS, repeating that “applicants should submit their applications through the online system of the KUCCPS.”
Before this is done, the applicants should go through the various options available.
