The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced that the Kanyadhiang Bridge on the Kendubay–Homabay (B2) Road would be closed for a short time to allow repairs to take place along the stretch.
Through the notice issued on January 20, 2026, KeNHA notified the public that the closure will impact a section of the Kendubay-Homabay (B2) Road at the Kanyadhiang Bridge.
The authority stated that the bridge will be inaccessible to traffic for a period of ten days, starting Tuesday, January 27, 2026, and ending Thursday, February 5, 2026.
According to KeNHA, the temporary closure is necessary to allow for intervention work on the bridge approach slab.
KeNHA said the work is important for keeping the bridge safe and ensuring smooth traffic once the repairs are finished.
In its statement, KeNHA said, “A section of the Kendubay-Homabay (B2) Road at the Kanyadhiang Bridge will be closed to traffic for ten (10) days.”
The agency explained that the work will specifically focus on the bridge approach slab, which needs immediate attention to prevent further damage.
The authority reassured drivers that the closure is temporary and is part of regular maintenance aimed at improving road safety on the national highway network.

Similarly, motorists heading from Homabay to Kendubay are instructed to “turn right onto Obama Road – Nyangajo Primary – Oluch Bridge – Goshen Hotel and rejoin the main road.”

The authority acknowledged the inconvenience the closure may cause but appealed for public cooperation.
“KeNHA regrets any inconvenience caused and urges the public for their cooperation,” the statement added.
