The Jubilee party has made leadership changes within top party positions.
Among the changes are the elevation of its party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, who has been appointed as Deputy party leader.
Kioni will serve as the party’s Deputy party leader alongside the former Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i.
The former Secretary General has been tasked with strengthening party structures, ensuring compliance with party processes, coordinating operations from the grassroots to the national level, and leading the party’s engagement and alliance-building with key political and societal stakeholders.
The leadership changes were arrived at after the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC)held a meeting on Thursday, January 22 2026.
According to Kioni, the party reorganisation, which was approved by NEC aimed at enhancing party operations, restoring internal discipline, and repositioning Jubilee as a credible national alternative grounded in structure, policy, and grassroots engagement.

His former position has been given to former Narok North Member of Parliamen Richard Ole Kenta.
“Jubilee Party National Executive Committee under the leadership of H.E. Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta C.G.H. is pleased to announce the appointment of former Narok North Member of Parliament, Hon. Richard Moitalel Ole Kenta, as the Party Secretary General,” read the party statement.
Kenta is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi. He was first elected to Parliament in 2013 on a TNA ticket and served two consecutive terms before running for the Narok County gubernatorial seat in the 2022 General Election.
Beyond politics, the former Narok North MP has served the nation in key public institutions, including as Chairman of the Kenya Wine Agencies Limited (KWAL) and as a Director at the Geothermal Development Company (GDC).
According to the Jubilee Party, the politician brings to the Party a wealth of experience in elective politics, legal expertise, strategic management and institutional governance at a critical moment when the Party is strengthening its structures and positioning itself to win seats across the country, and deliver Dr. Fred Matiang’i’s Presidency in the forthcoming General Elections.
Further, the Party called upon all members, supporters, partners and Kenyans of goodwill to accord him full cooperation and support as he undertakes his duty, which is a demanding responsibility.

Ole Kenta will be deputised by Zack Kinuthia, a former Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) in the Jubilee administration during former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s second term. He served first as CAS for Education and later as CAS in the Ministry of Sports, Culture, and Heritage, following his appointment in 2020.
