Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen has revealed the details of his discussion with IG Douglas Kanja over the chaos that erupted at Witima ACK Church in Nyeri, where former DP Rigathi Gachagua was in attendance.

In a statement, Murkomen said violence is unacceptable in any part of the country, especially in places of worship.

“I have noted with great concern the incident at Witima ACK Church in Othaya, Nyeri County. Violence anywhere, and least of all in a place of worship, is unacceptable,” Gachagua said.

Police Launch Investigations

Murkomen said the National Police Service (NPS) has already commenced investigations, and the perpetrators will be arrested.

“I have spoken with the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Douglas Kanja, who has assured me that investigations are underway with the urgency this matter deserves and that the perpetrators will be brought to justice,” he said.
