Share

Billionaire Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has been mentioned in a newly released batch of documents linked to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, following a major disclosure by the United States Department of Justice.

The latest release, made under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, includes more than three million additional pages, as well as over 2,000 videos and approximately 180,000 images, according to U.S. Attorney Todd Blanche, who confirmed the disclosure during a press briefing on Friday, January 30, 2026.

Among the documents is a 2013 email allegedly written by Epstein, in which he describes a breakdown in his relationship with Gates after their professional ties were cut.

In the email, Epstein makes a series of unverified and personal allegations against Gates, including claims relating to Gates’ private life and health.

The email further alleges that Gates sought Epstein’s assistance in obtaining antibiotics to treat a sexually transmitted infection, which Epstein claimed Gates had contracted after an alleged affair with a Russian woman. The email also suggests that Gates wanted the matter handled privately and kept hidden from his then-wife, Melinda French Gates.

Legal experts and U.S. authorities, over time, have cautioned that the inclusion of an individual’s name in the Epstein files does not imply criminal wrongdoing. The Justice Department has stressed that many of the released materials consist of raw, untested allegations, private correspondence, and documents that were never examined or verified in a court of law.

US Citizens React to Latest Epstein Files

The release of the files has ignited mixed reactions in the United States.

Congressman William Timmons said, “If Bill Gates were a participant in sex trafficking, he must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Another US Citizen by the name John Lurky said, “If anyone was a participant in sex trafficking, THEY must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Fixed it for you. We don’t want to play partisan games. We just want justice for the victims.”

Gates has previously acknowledged meeting Epstein several times in the past but has described the association as a “mistake.” He has repeatedly denied any involvement in Epstein’s criminal activities and has said he regrets the interactions.

At the time of publication, neither Gates nor representatives of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation had issued a fresh response specifically addressing the latest document release.

The Justice Department said the review of the Epstein files is ongoing and warned the public to interpret the documents with caution, noting that many claims contained within them may be disputed, incomplete, or entirely unsubstantiated.
