Kenyan businessman Khalif Kairo has announced the death of his mother, who passed away earlier today, February 15, after a long and courageous battle with illness.
In a post shared on his social media platforms, Kairo expressed the deep grief his family is experiencing following the loss, saying, “Earlier today, I lost my mum after a long and bravely fought battle with illness.”
Despite the pain of the loss, he noted that the family remains grateful for the time they shared with her.
“Our hearts are heavy, but we are thankful to God for the time, love, memories and lessons she gave us,” he said.
Kairo added that his mother’s strength, grace, and impact on the lives of those around her will be remembered as the family comes to terms with the loss.
Kairo honored his mother’s strength and character by talking about how she coped with her illness.
“She fought with strength and grace, and we thank God for every moment we shared with her,” he said, stressing the close relationship that existed between the mother and son.

Kairo, whose birth name is Joseph Kairo Wambui and who was born in November 1996, has shared several stories about his simple upbringing in Amboseli, a neighborhood in Kawangware, Nairobi County.
In the past, while narrating his childhood stories, the businessman has shared several stories about his upbringing and how his mother ran a kiosk to help the family.
Kairo’s entrepreneurial spirit and drive have had a lasting impact on him.
Sources close to the successful businessman have said that the level of discipline and drive that the entrepreneur has today is a legacy of his late mother.
Kairo’s educational journey began at Huduma Primary Pre-Unit in Kawangware before joining the same institution to pursue his primary education to Class 6.
He then went ahead to World Hope Academy in Kawangware to pursue his upper primary education to Class 8.

After his primary education, Kairo joined Dagoretti High School between 2011 and 2012.
He then switched schools to Kahuho Uhuru High School, where he undertook his studies between 2012 and 2014.
This was a critical time for Kairo, which aided his personal and educational development.
However, his passion for cars was to shape his career path.
Kairo decided to enroll for driving classes after his high school education instead of relying on his educational qualifications.
His passion for cars was enormous, and this eventually translated into a business venture, which has grown into Kai & Karo Motors, with Kairo serving as the company’s CEO.
The company has become a household name in the motor industry.
