The County government of Kakamega has announced 161 vacancies across different departments.
In an advert on February 24, the County said the announcement is in line with the Constitution and the County Government Act No. 17 of 2012.
Kakamega advertised one vacancy for the following positions: Director General Press Unit (Office of Governor), Human Resource Management Director, Alcoholics Drinks Control & Licensing Director, Kakamega County Dairy Management Corporation (KDDC) CEO, Chief Revenue Administrator, Director of Urban Planning, Deputy Director Housing, Municipality Manager-Mumias Municipality and Tourism Officer II, Human Resource Management and Development Officer II.
Besides, the County seeks to employ two individuals in the following positions: Administrative Officer II, Office Administrator II, Senior Support Staff, and Assistant Office Administrator III.
There are four openings for Clerical Officer II, three vacancies for Fire Officer II and Inspector (Fire Services), and 6 chances for Fireman III.
In this department, Kakamega County has announced two vacancies for the positions of Supply Chain Management Assistant III and Information Communication Technology Officer III.
There are three openings for Accountant II and Information Communication Technology Officer II.

The County seeks to recruit four individuals for the position of Assistant Engineer II (Water and Sewerage), 12 Inspectors (Water and Sewerage), and an Inspector (Ground Water).
Further, Kakamega County has announced 65 vacancies for Assistant ECDE Teacher III, 20 ECDE Assistant II, and 14 Assistant Polytechnic Instructor III.

All applicants should click on the Our Job Offers Option on the County Website www.kakamega. go.ke, fill the Application Form, fill it out, and submit it ONLINE on or before Wednesday, 11th March, 2026 at 11.59 P.M.
No hard copy or emailed applications to the Board’s official email will be accepted.
Applicants are advised to provide accurate information when making applications; those who give false information regarding their credentials and qualifications will be automatically disqualified.
