KMTC Announces Fully Funded Scholarships for Select Students – How to Apply

The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has announced fully funded scholarship opportunities for students wishing to pursue Higher Diplomas in Urology Nursing and Nephrology Nursing.
In a statement dated Thursday, February 26, 2026, KMTC CEO Dr. Kelly Oluoch said the scholarships are being offered in partnership with the Ministry of Health and the East Africa Centre of Excellence in Urology and Nephrology (EACE-UN).
“KMTC, in partnership with the Ministry of Health and the East Africa Centre of Excellence in Urology and Nephrology, is officially inviting applications for the March 2026 intake. This opportunity is open to eligible candidates for the Higher Diplomas in Urology Nursing and Nephrology Nursing,” read part of the statement.
KMTC Announces Fully Funded Scholarships
KMTC further stated that the fully funded scholarships are available to successful applicants from the Ministry of Health and County Governments.
The EACE-UN project, funded through a loan from the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Government of Kenya, will offer scholarships across nine specialised program areas at KMTC campuses as follows:

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates meeting the following criteria will be prioritized:
- Employees of County Governments within Kenya.
- Employees of Kenya Medical Training College.
- At least three years of work experience at a county health facility.
- Registered with the respective regulatory body for their basic training.
- Have secured approval and release from their county employer.

Selection Process
Applicants must follow this process to be awarded a scholarship:
- Recommendation by the employer during the application.
- Shortlisting by KMTC.
- Selection by the KMTC-EACE program scholarship committee.
- Admission by KMTC.
- Release and bonding by the employer per Public Service Commission guidelines.
- Enrollment by KMTC.

How to Apply
- Visit the KMTC admissions page: https://admissions.kmtc.ac.ke
- If you have registered an account, log in using your email and password.
- If you do not have an account, click on the Register button in the top right-hand corner
- This will take you to the create account form.
- Enter your name, email address, and password (put a password that you can easily remember).
- Click on the Create Account Button.
- On the right-hand panel, click on Application and under Application, click on EACE-UN SCHOLARSHIP
- Follow the step-by-step process until the end of the online application form
- After filling in the required information and uploading the required documents, download the form, have it signed appropriately, scan the form into pdf format, log back in to your portal, and upload the duly filled form.
Scholarship Package
Successful applicants will receive full coverage for:
- Tuition fees
- Stipend
Applicants must also submit a handwritten essay of no more than 200 words explaining why they deserve the scholarship and how they will contribute to the community after graduation.
