Man Punched and Kicked to Death in Dispute Over Pair of Shoes

Police in Siaya County have launched investigations into a shocking murder incident in which a man was allegedly beaten to death following a dispute over a pair of shoes.

The incident occurred in the Ndori area in Rarieda sub-county, where the victim was reportedly attacked during a confrontation that quickly turned violent.

According to preliminary police reports, the man was punched and kicked repeatedly during the altercation, leaving him with severe injuries. Authorities say the victim sustained serious blows to the head and body during the assault.

His body was later discovered inside his mother’s house hours after the confrontation, raising alarm among family members and neighbours.

Investigators who examined the body noted that the victim had a swollen head, believed to have been caused by the heavy kicks and punches inflicted during the attack. The suspects are said to have fled the scene immediately after the incident.

Police Investigations

Police have since launched a manhunt for two suspects believed to be linked to the fatal assault. The individuals are reportedly related to the deceased, and detectives are working to trace their whereabouts as investigations continue.

Authorities have condemned the violent incident and urged members of the public to resolve disputes peacefully instead of resorting to violence.

The body of the deceased was moved to a nearby mortuary, where it awaits a post-mortem examination to establish the exact cause of death.
