Scare at Rihanna’s LA Mansion as Woman Fires Gunshots

Los Angeles police responded swiftly on Sunday, March 8, in the afternoon after multiple gunshots were heard at the Beverly Hills home of pop star Rihanna.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed officers were called to the Beverly Crest neighbourhood just after 1:20 p.m. local time following reports of an assault with a deadly weapon.

Upon arrival, law enforcement found evidence that several rounds had been discharged from a vehicle parked across the street from the property’s gate.

According to police radio dispatches reviewed by the Los Angeles Times, at least 10 shots were fired at the residence from a white Tesla before the driver fled the scene.

The home targeted in the incident is owned and occupied by music and fashion mogul Rihanna, born Robyn Rihanna Fenty, who, according to authorities, was inside the mansion at the time of the shooting.

Officers later located the suspect’s vehicle about eight miles from the property in a Sherman Oaks shopping centre parking lot, where a 30‑year‑old woman was taken into custody without further violence.

LAPD spokesperson proclaimed that no one was injured in the incident, underscoring that despite the alarming circumstances, neither the singer nor anyone else on the property suffered physical harm.

Guns, Casings And Scene Evidence

At the scene, officers recovered an AR‑15‑style rifle in the suspect’s vehicle along with multiple shell casings, suggesting a semi‑automatic firearm was used in the attack.

Four rounds or fragments were reported to have struck parts of the property, and at least one bullet penetrated an exterior wall of the mansion.

Photos from outside the home showed bullet holes in the gate and in a recreational vehicle parked on the property’s driveway, illustrating the extent of the gunfire.

Investigators with the LAPD’s Robbery‑Homicide Division were seen canvassing the area Sunday evening as part of the ongoing probe.

Police have not released the suspect’s name or a possible motive for the attack.

It remains unclear whether the suspect knew Rihanna personally or if the incident was random, and detectives emphasized that the investigation is in its early stages.

Rihanna’s Family And Security Context

Rihanna, 38, shares the Beverly Hills residence with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky (Rakim Mayers), and their three children: sons RZA and Riot, and daughter Rocki.

It has not been confirmed whether the children or A$AP Rocky were home at the time of the shooting.

This incident takes place in a time when there is much media coverage of the couple’s legal record, as in February 2025, A$AP Rocky was acquitted in a prominent firearms case in Los Angeles.

The LAPD and Rihanna’s representatives have not commented further on the motive or additional security measures being implemented following Sunday’s unsettling event.
