Motorists using the road between Kilgoris and Lolgorian have been informed to use alternative routes, as repair works have started taking place on the Mugor bridge
In a public notice issued by the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA), the agency announced to the public that works on the bridge along the Kilgoris–Lolgorian road are currently taking place.
The authority said the repairs are supposed to improve road safety and ensure the bridge remains usable for road users in the long run.
The bridge is a key factor for residents, traders, and drivers moving between the two towns and their surroundings. However, the ongoing works are expected to temporarily affect traffic along the said route.
Drivers Adviced to Drive Safely
To minimize inconvenience to motorists, KeRRA has advised them to use alternative roads while the repairs continue taking place.
Drivers travelling between Kilgoris and Lolgorian can use the Lolgorian–Angaga–Enoosaen–Kilgoris route as one of the alternatives. Another recommended option is the Lolgorian–Kawai–Esoit–Kilgoris route.
