The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has given an update to the public on their ongoing preparations for the upcoming Special Delegates Convention (SDC), which was scheduled to be on Friday, March 27, 2026, in Nairobi.
In a press statement released on March 19, 2026, the party stated that, as required by both the law and its constitution, a 21-day notice for the special meeting was well issued.
According to ODM, the notice was published and shared across the party’s official website and all social media platforms on Friday, March 6, 2026.
It stated that this remains the only official notice that is referring to the planned convention that is to take place.

Addressing emerging issues, the party stressed that the party leader does not sign notices that convene such meetings, including the Special Delegates Convention.
ODM stated that this is in line with its established procedures, dismissing any claims that suggest otherwise.
ODM further said that it has been actively engaged in activities to prepare itself before the convention.
With just one week remaining, the party gave members assurance and the general public that preparations are in top gear.
Delegates have already been formally notified about the meeting as well as its agenda. ODM noted.

However, the statement did not disclose the specific agenda for the convention. ODM maintained that the agenda had already been communicated earlier through the official notice issued to both delegates and members of the public.
More so, ODM also confirmed that the convention will take place at the Jamhuri Grounds, located off Ngong Road.
The Special Delegates Convention is expected to bring together key party members for deliberations on critical party matters.
