Former Deputy President (DP) Rigathi Gachagua held a high-level meeting with Jubilee Party deputy part leader Jeremiah Kioni, a key ally of former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The meeting, also attended by Francis Kimemia, focused on urgent issues facing the country, including leadership, governance, and economic challenges.

Kioni said they all noted that Kenya is at a critical juncture, where decisive and inclusive leadership is essential for restoring public confidence.

While details of the discussions remain broad, the post highlighted the need for a united approach to address the widening disconnect between leadership and citizens.

The leaders emphasized that failure to act decisively could deepen existing socio-economic and governance challenges.

Focus on National Challenges

According to the X post, the discussions centered on the urgency of addressing leadership gaps, economic instability, and social concerns.

The leaders underscored that pragmatic solutions and people-centered governance are necessary to navigate the country through its current crossroads.

“It is evident that our country stands at a critical crossroads, and decisive, people-centered leadership is no longer optional, it is necessary,” Kioni said.
