President William Ruto has sent a goodwill message to the Muslim faithful across the country and the world over as they celebrate the holy festival of Eid al-Fitr.

In his statement released at the end of the holy month of Ramadan, the President commended the importance of the holy month of Ramadan.

He noted the core values of the holy month of Ramadan, including sacrifice, devotion, prayer, and charity.

“We join the Muslim community in celebrating Eid al-Fitr following the sacred month of Ramadan, a time of sacrifice, devotion, prayer, charity, and reflection. We recognize the core values of the holy month of Ramadan, which are sacrifice, devotion, prayer, charity, and reflection,” said Ruto.

President Ruto expressed the hope that the spiritual journey undertaken by the Muslim faithful during the holy month of Ramadan would have a lasting impact.

Call for Unity and Compassion

Ruto asked Kenyans to take the lessons learned during the holy period and apply them in their lives.

He especially asked them to focus on the aspect of empathy and solidarity.

“May all acts of worship be accepted, hearts renewed and strengthened, and the spirit of faith continue to guide us and our nation,” he said.

Ruto said that Eid is not just a holiday but a period to reiterate values that bring Kenyans together.

“Eid is a celebration of these virtues: faith, unity, and gratitude. As we rejoice, let us remember the less fortunate and share kindness so all may partake in its blessings,” he said.

The President’s message is timely in that the call for national cohesion and mutual support is a key aspect of Kenya’s social and political construct.

His use of the spirit of giving, therefore, challenged Kenyans to offer a helping hand to the less fortunate in society.

Message of Hope for the Nation

Ruto, in his speech, offered a message of hope for the nation. He associated spiritual renewal with the progress of the nation.
