1. Fikirini Jacobs

2. Albert Omondi Ojwang- Advocate for Students and Social Justice

His untimely death in 2025 sparked nationwide debates about civil rights, highlighting the impact of his voice beyond campus.

3. Prof. Amina Abubakar- Leading Child Development Researcher

Prof. Amina Abubakar is an associate professor of psychology and public health at Pwani University.Her research focuses on child development, mental health, and resilience in Sub-Saharan Africa.

She received the Royal Society Pfizer Award for her work on understanding risk and resilience factors in infants and adolescents.

Her studies have influenced policies and interventions to support vulnerable children across the region.

3. Argwings Otieno – Award-Winning Author and Academic

Argwings Otieno, a lecturer at Pwani University, is a celebrated author of children’s and youth literature.

4. Prof. Celia Nyamweru – International Environmental Scholar
