Popular Nairobi Rental Flats and Nyali Apartment Placed for Auction

A  popular rental flat in Nairobi and a residential apartment in Nyali, Mombasa, have been listed for public auction as the lender moves to recover an outstanding loan.

In a notice dated Thursday, March 25, 2026, Keysian Auctioneers said the two properties, registered under the name of Samuel Mutungi Mutegi, will be sold under the chargee’s statutory power of sale.

The Nairobi property, set for auction on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the auctioneer’s offices at CPF House along Haile Selassie Avenue, is located in Riruta within Dagoretti.

The property known as TITLE NO. DAGORETTI/RIRUTA/3567 sits off Naivasha Road, approximately one kilometre west of the junction linking Naivasha Road and the access road near Precious Blood Riruta Secondary School.

It lies within the Sam West Distributors warehouse neighbourhood in Riruta, Nairobi County.

The freehold parcel measures about 0.101 hectares (0.2495 acres) and is developed with two semi-detached three-storey rental blocks and an additional extension building.

The development includes multiple units, with a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom houses spread across the floors, making it a fully income-generating property.

It is connected to mains electricity and water, with drainage through a septic system and pit latrine.

The second property, located in Nyali, Mombasa County, will be auctioned on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the auctioneer’s offices at Asha Trust Building along Meru Road.

The apartment is identified as Unit C15 at Royal Apartments along Links Road in Nyali Estate.

It is situated opposite SOS Hermann Gmeiner Primary School and about 550 metres from Quick Mart Nyali, placing it within a well-developed residential and commercial area.

The one-bedroom unit is located on the fourth floor of Block C and is held on a 99-year lease starting November 1, 2011.

The property is connected to electricity and water, with drainage linked to a trunk sewer system.

Conditions for Bidding

Interested bidders will be required to deposit Ksh 1 million to participate in the Nairobi auction and Ksh 300,000 for the Nyali apartment.

The sale is subject to a reserve price, and the auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid without giving reasons.

Successful bidders must pay a 10% deposit at the fall of the hammer, with the balance payable within 90 days.

Prospective buyers have been advised to view the properties in advance and verify all details independently before participating in the auction.
