In a heartfelt message shared on her Facebook page, she reflected on her journey in the country, saying she feels she has “served her purpose” and is now ready to transition into a different season of her life.
“I have sat with this moment for a long time… and today, I finally have the words,” she wrote.
Akothee described her years in Kenya as a period marked by resilience, growth, and transformation, noting that she has lived loudly, loved deeply, made mistakes, and risen again despite public scrutiny and personal challenges.
“I have lived loudly, loved deeply, made mistakes, risen again, and built something that cannot be erased. A legacy of strength, resilience, and truth,” she said.
In her emotional message, she admitted that preparing to leave the country is not easy for her, especially because of the strong connection she has built with her supporters and followers over the years.
“As I step into a new chapter of my life and prepare to join my family abroad, I do so with a full heart… but also a heavy one. Because leaving you is not easy,” she added.
The mother of five used the opportunity to encourage Kenyans to take control of their own life journeys, urging them not to live in comparison with others but instead to define their own paths.
“Be the main actor. Be the director. In your movie called Life, there is no script written by anyone else,” she said.

Akothee Reassures Her Fans
Even as she announced her relocation plans, Akothee reassured fans that her physical absence does not mean the end of her presence in their lives, saying the impact she has created will continue to live on.
“I may be leaving physically, but I will never truly leave you. I am leaving a print in your hearts, in your hands, and in your minds,” she wrote.

The singer also linked her message to her recently released book Turn Your Pain Into Purpose, revealing that the publication came from one of the most painful and public moments of her life an experience she says broke her but later rebuilt her into a stronger woman.

She invited her fans to meet her at a location disclosed in her posts to celebrate with her and bid farewell ahead of her departure, saying the book represents both a message and a movement shaped by her lived experiences.
In her recent post on Facebook, while inviting her fans to go see her, she also says, “Come beat me or hug me ” in a humorous way.
Her announcement has since ignited emotional reactions from supporters online, many of her followers praising her honesty, strength, and openness throughout her journey in the limelight, while also wishing her well as she prepares to begin life abroad with her family.
