A board member at The Nairobi Hospital, Lekek Chebii, has resigned from his position, citing personal reasons.
According to a resignation letter addressed to the board, Chebii said his decision takes effect immediately after stepping down from the Kenya Hospital Association, which operates the hospital.
In his letter, Chebii pointed to personal constraints that have made it difficult to continue serving effectively.
“Due to personal reasons, I am no longer able to devote the time and attention required to effectively discharge my responsibilities as a Board member.” The letter read.
He also expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve, noting that it had been a privilege to contribute to the hospital’s governance and strategic direction.
Chebii’s resignation comes at a time when The Nairobi Hospital has been facing heightened attention over governance and management challenges.
Recent reports indicate that a section of senior doctors had previously sought intervention over what they described as leadership and administrative issues affecting the facility.

Sources indicate that the board may convene to address the transition and ensure continuity in leadership, as stakeholders closely follow the developments.
