Akothee Warns Kenyans Against Insulting PS Raymond Omollo

Share

Kenyan singer, entrepreneur, and social media personality Esther Akother, alias Akothee, has revealed that Principal Secretary (PS) Dr. Raymond Omollo is her uncle on her mother’s side.

In a social media post on Friday evening, she used the revelation to make a firm point about respect, setting clear boundaries for her followers and critics.

Akothee said some of her fans might casually abuse people without knowing their relationship and background.

The musician said their family is proud of PS Omollo, so is the community and the country at large.

“Some of the people you casually disrespect online are not strangers to me. They are family. For instance, PS Dr Raymond Omollo is my uncle from my mother’s side. And we have every reason to be proud of him, not just as a family, but as a community and as a country,” Akothee said.

No Tolerance for Disrespect

Akothee made it clear that anyone who insults or mocks people she respects, including her uncle, has automatically disqualified themselves from her circle.

She explained that the respect for Omollo is not negotiable, and people must either toe the line or stop following her.
“Now hear me, and hear me well.  Anyone who finds comfort in insulting, mocking, or throwing careless disrespect at him has automatically disqualified themselves from my circle. That line is not negotiable,” she added.

She underscored that disrespect is not content, insults do not equal intelligence, and noise will never replace substance.

“You cannot sit at my table while tearing down people I respect, people who have earned their place, people who are building this nation in ways many of you cannot even comprehend.” Akothee declared.

She highlighted her personal standards and made it clear that she will not entertain attacks on her values.

Critique of Online Culture

Akothee also criticized the growing culture of online insults in Kenya. She pointed out that those quick to mock often lack the discipline, capacity, or responsibility to hold positions of authority.

She warned that normalizing ridicule undermines accountability and respect in society.

A Bold Challenge to Critics

She concluded her post with a daring message to detractors: “If it annoys you, come beat me.”

The statement shows she will not compromise on her principles or allow anyone to disrespect her or the people she holds in high regard.

Akothee’s revelation has sparked discussions online. Fans have praised her loyalty to her values and her courage in publicly setting boundaries. While the focus is on respect for herself, the family connection to PS Dr. Omollo adds context and weight to her stance.
